IDENTI3 commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
2 min readIDENTI3 is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that respects and accommodates every employee’s unique identity. To enhance our efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, we will be implementing changes to our data collection processes by removing specific form inputs and report displays associated with the following categories:
- – Ethnicity
- – Sexual Orientation
- – Gender Identity
- – Physical Ability
- – Religion
- – Age
- – Marital Status
- – Socioeconomic Status
- – National Origin
- – Veteran Status
In place of these categories, an additional blank form labeled ‘Remarks’ will be provided for respondents to share relevant information as they see fit.
To ensure accurate tracking and identification of respondents, we encourage administrators to assign a unique identification code to each respondent. This change reflects our commitment to creating a supportive environment where all employees feel valued and respected.
Introduction to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (D.E.I.)
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (D.E.I.) are essential principles that foster a workplace and society where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and experiences.
Diversity refers to the presence of differences within a given setting, encompassing a wide range of attributes, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, physical ability, and more. A diverse environment encourages varied viewpoints and ideas, enriching collaboration and innovation.
Equity focuses on fairness and justice in processes, policies, and opportunities, ensuring that everyone has access to the resources and support they need to thrive. It recognizes that individuals have different circumstances and allocates the necessary resources to address those disparities, promoting an environment where everyone can succeed.
Inclusion is the practice of creating a sense of belonging by actively engaging diverse individuals and ensuring their voices are heard. It involves cultivating an atmosphere where all employees feel comfortable expressing their authentic selves and contributing to the organization’s goals.
Together, D.E.I. initiatives create a more harmonious, productive, and innovative environment that not only benefits individuals but also drives organizational success. By embracing diversity, promoting equity, and fostering inclusion, organizations can unlock the full potential of their workforce and contribute to a more just society.
