Leading Self and Others

In a time where AI drives efficiency and productivity across industries, the role of human insight and #selfawareness has become more critical than ever. At Cycle & Carriage Singapore, I recently conducted a two-day training event titled “Leading Self and Others”—a program designed with Jeslin Lim, IHRP-SP, GTML™ to elevate leadership capacity by first turning inward.

On Day One, we focused on building self-awareness using the #IDENTI3 #Profiling tool and the #PocketPersonality system. Participants discovered their intrinsic traits, #blindspots, and behavioural tendencies, gaining clarity about how their personality influences their decisions, communication, and leadership style. The room was filled with ‘aha’ moments as individuals recognised how their natural strengths could be sharpened—and their challenges addressed—through conscious #leadership.

Day Two transitioned from self to others. We introduced two practical and impactful tools from the Pocket Series:

These cards empowered Line Managers and emerging leaders with a structured coaching methodology—one that is easy to apply, yet deeply transformative. Through guided roleplays and real workplace scenarios, participants learned how to ask the right questions, develop their teams meaningfully, and foster a culture of ownership and growth.

The feedback from participants was nothing short of extraordinary. Many expressed how this training reshaped their approach to leadership, with comments highlighting the clarity, relevance, and immediate applicability of what was taught.

At a time when #ai is advancing rapidly, we are reminded that leadership—rooted in empathy, insight, and intentional development—remains deeply human. It begins with the self, and it expands through the lives of others we influence.
